You will interact with people and businesses in the local community, be given products and experiences that a "normal tour" will not be able to provide and you will learn about the area and be able to show respect to the land, cultures and the community as a whole, as you feel and experience the "real" Hawaii island. A portion of this tour package goes back into the community each month to repair roads, clean and maintain historic sites.

This package is not for those who like to 'live on the edge' and are constantly in 5th gear. This is for the adventurer who seeks a balance between worlds. We want you to discover, explore with respect and feel the wind through your hair...safely.
Make sure to stop while in Kailua-Kona to grab some food and any supplies you may need, plus some To-Go for dinner. Be sure to get on the road by 3pm to navigate the road heading south safely. Arrive your first night and enjoy the rest of your evening by settling into a modern suite, which is centrally located to all your scheduled experiences, and dine under the stars. Tomorrow is a new day...you made it to Hawaii island.
- Wake on your first day with enthusiasm for your first adventure....as you take a bike ride through Volcano Village through the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. After the ride visit a local coffee farm, pick-up your 7-oz. Ka'u coffee and chat with the owner. Then, take a scenic drive back towards Naalehu to drive off the path to a hidden gem of a beach with historical value, then to a horseshoe bay where you can generally see sea turtles surf the waves. The waters and currents are extremely strong and are not for swimming. Visitors are asked to not get close to the water, however the landscaping is breathtaking. Just around the corner from this area is a historical beach area that still has some elements dating back to the Cane Hauling industry and shipping era that was done from the original pier that is now a memory of posts emerging from the ocean.
- Test your endurance, go back in time when Hawaiian's walked the land, after you grab your breakfast and lunchbox. Once at the South Point region, then you will follow the GPS indicators that we will provide as you refrain from vehicles and walk the 2.5-miles one-way to Green Sands Beach to each your lunch and enjoy the beauty. Leaving the sand and rocks as you found them, and carry your trash out to dispose of it properly; we will walk with you via audio tour, again, giving you inspiration, history and folklore as you walk back to your car in the parking lot.
- On your third day, check-out and head to grab a coffee/tea and some breakfast and journey just down the street to enjoy a coffee farm tour, take a sip and grab some beans, then head to your final excursion to the actual tip of Hawaii island to stand where some of the original Hawaiians/Tahitians landed on the shores of the island. We do not suggest that you jump off the cliffs due to the fact that many have drown, been sucked down into lava tubes or received injuries from exiting the water. Stay safe. After exploring this area for a bit, it's time to get back on the road and head to your next destination.

DISCOVER:
Day 1:
E-Bike in Volcano Village and the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park
Stop at a local family farm to pick-up your Ka'u Coffee Beans, 7-oz. bag, and chat with the Owner
Hike a Beach Trail to a surprise historical terrain
Drive a path to see surfing Honu(sea turtles)
Visit the historical pier landing and learn about the cane and cattle era

Day 2:
- 2.5-mile WALK each way to Green Sands Beach, enjoy your lunch, a swim then "Leave No Trace" and walk back

Day 3:
- Checkout of your accommodations

- Head down the street to a family coffee farm and take a tour, a sip and grab some beans for the road
Drive, then walk to the Southern Most Tip of the U.S. and learn about the first canoes arriving on shore, a Heiau(sacred site) and the beacon of light

FROM KONA TO SOUTH: Try to get on the road no later than 3:00 p.m. from Kailua-Kona in order to drive safely; speeds are 35-55 on somewhat curved roads, with your occasional wild pigs, goats, dogs, cats and mongoose. It's okay to turn on high beams since there are no street lights, but please be respectful and turn them off for on-coming vehicles.
FROM HILO SIDE TO SOUTH - For Stay-Cations: Try to get on the road no later than 3:00 p.m. from Hilo; speeds vary 35-55 on fairly straight roads which encounter rain and sometimes heavy fog through the National Park. Be careful of the NeNe, the State Bird that can be seen on the roadway through the park. If you hit one, a driver can be fined up to $5,000.00. And, it is okay to turn on your high beams since there are no street lights, but please be respectful and turn them off for on-coming vehicles or in heavy fog.
